A growing service at VMP is providing audio visual presentations for conferences and capturing speakers, delegates and activities in memento DVDs. Two held in the same week on the Gold Coast recently saw editing around the clock at VMP to ensure daily deadlines were met.
TechnologyOne ‘Evolve’ 2007 was coordinated by Loud Events at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre, and Abbott Pharmaceuticals ‘Focus’ 2007 was coordinated by Tour Hosts at Palazzo Versace. Both were stunning events that kept our camera crews on the move and allowed our creative geniuses to provide excellent mementos of the business and pleasure gained over the busy conference days.
Venturing into the sporting world, VMP assisted to create commercials for Queensland Junior Rugby League with Mal Meninga, and Queensland Basketball, with a bunch of lively youngsters keen to show their trick shots from very unorthodox positions, coming to your TV screens in March.
In a longstanding relationship with Kingston Park Raceway new go karting excitement is highlighted in commercials for ‘Kingston Park Raceway – a hell of a day out’ campaign.
A new Agforce campaign to promote Australian farmers has been shot using former and current Broncos footballers Shane Webcke, Dane Carlaw and Michael Ennis. The last Agforce TVC caused a lot of interest and once again the ABC Landline crew filmed the filming of this TVC for a segment about Agforce and the promotion of Australian farming and farmers.
The VMP crew has been busy producing a lot of educational, promotional and inspirational video and audio productions. Regardless of the communication need the VMP crew are across best practice in communication, audience theories and production techniques and skills to deliver effective communication tools.
With new guidelines for CPR – it’s now 30 compressions and two breaths – QAS needed new training resources and sought the assistance of the Australian Design Studio and VMP to recreate best practice in heart attack situations to assist in paramedic training.
Still in Emergency Services, the Queensland Fire and Rescue Service are updating their competency training aids to include DVD resources. VMP assisted by completing “Prevent Injury” an extremely important directive that assists fire crews to keep themselves and the public as safe as possible during fire fighting, chemical emergencies, motor vehicle accidents and other services to the community.
Herron Todd White is the largest independent property valuation and advisory group in Australia and recently VMP assisted them by producing an informational presentation to market their services to business, government and Australian householders.
A multi layered multimedia tool has been developed by VMP and Teach International for people looking to teach overseas. This production has many layers of information in a creative informational presentation.
As the new year dawned Sam ‘devastated’ 11 countries in 16 days on a Contiki tour through Europe with friends – she bought Gucci sunglasses in Venice, a dress in Florence, boots in Rome, tights in Switzerland, make up in Nice and by the time she got to Paris she was penniless! The new ‘style’ she’s brought back with her has brightened the office – although something about those boots causing ‘itchy feet’ keeps coming up!
Jenny celebrated the coming of the new year - new life, as she took back her maiden name (Cooper) to celebrate being single again.
Matt returned from his vacation snowboarding in Japan with a very healthy snow glow and amazing stories about pristine snowfields and a crazy jam session with traditional Japanese drums and then meeting Geishas in training – an extremely rare opportunity.
VMP has recently been appointed to assist Volvo worldwide to roll out their new competency platform to assist staff and dealers to identify skill shortages and training opportunities to fill those gaps.
We have also been appointed to produce a promotional presentation to entice new members into the Rural Fire Service to combat falling numbers of volunteers.
Congratulations to our editor Tani, who recently won the EMI Music Australia / Silverchair video editing competition. Contestants were asked to re-edit the raw footage of the band's new single "Straight Lines" and create a new original video clip.
Tani's video entry received over 200,000 views out of a total 1.2 million views. After making it to the final five, the video was judged by Silverchair, who unanimously selected Tani's entry as the winner.
Tani's winning video was shown to the viewing public by Silverchair on Saturday the 17th March, when it aired on Video Hits (Network Ten). Tani will also meet the members of Silverchair in person during their upcoming tour, where they will present her with a signed gold album plaque.
